26th Annual

Unfortunately, we need to take a year off. There will be no event for 2019.

We need more volunteers willing to help organize this event. If you have skills with excel or advertising or seeking sponsors or handling permits and details, please contact us via the Facebook page or at quesnelwomensfallchallenge@hotmail.com

We hope to return to active duty in 2020.

Kudos to all of the committee. Great job!!! Thanks to Stride and Glide for their timing. It was very effective. I liked the chip check and the instant readings of all the walkers and runners as they came across the finish line. Thanks again for a great event. Looking forward to next year!

When does registration open for 2015? Where?

    • qwfc says:

      Hello Carley
We are currently working on the registration forms and are waiting for T-shirt colour, types and cost. I will put up a form as soon as it is ready and you can download it from this site.
We are delighted that you are keen. Please check back later in June.

      Also enquiring about 2015 registration

I am still not able to access the registration forms on the Stride and Glide site. Any idea when that will be ready?

    • qwfc says:

Hi Joyce, I just checked and the QWFC page is not yet available on stride and glide. They are perhaps busy with Storm the Mountain. Shayne said he would make our page active as soon as he can.
The Q and District Rec Centre has forms now.
      thanks

    Hi there

Just wondering if there is any late registration.

Thank you so much for your help.

    • qwfc says:

      Hello Denise
Yes indeed. You can register at the Quesnel Rec Centre until tomorrow afternoon. You can register at the race package pickup from 3 to 6 pm Saturday the 3rd. AND you can register at the boat launch on the morning of the race up until 8:15.
We would be delighted for you to join us.
      L.

I’m reserving judgement, as I know very little about this event, but why is half the population specifically excluded from this event?

    • qwfc says:

Hello Sam… Interesting… We have had requests to have a gentleman’s only event as well. This event grew out of a ladies group jaunt along the lake. Then the focus of fundraising for the mammography unit took hold and it grew. I think it was just assumed that since the focus is for women, that the event be for women. We have quite a few women who enjoy this aspect because they feel less stressed. I like the idea of a separate men’s event with that event having a focus on men’s health. The majority of the ladies are non-competitive and they participate to support the cause. (Over 200,000 so far).
What do you think should happen?

Thanks to everyone who volunteered and put together this event!!! It was a great run!! The only thing that was a bit disappointing was there was no finisher metals. This was my friends first half marathon and a metal would have been a great keepsake. I would rather have had the $25 be put towards the cost of a finishers medal for the half marathon.
Thanks again for a great event other wise. And to whomever made the gluten free food thank you so very much that was such an awesome surprise!!!

    • qwfc says:

Hello again… we have medals for those who want them. I just need to know who wants them and where to send them.
You are welcome for the gluten free muffins…thanks to Jacquie.

  8. Amy says:

  9. Linda says:
